YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Megat Najmuddin bin Dato’ Seri Dr Hj Megat Khas holds an Honours Degree in Law from University of Singapore. He is prominent in the corporate sector and holds several important posts. He is the President of both the Federation of Public Listed Companies Berhad (“FPLC”) and the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (“MICG”).

He currently sits as the Non-Executive Chairman of 5 public listed companies, i.e. Tradewinds Corporation Berhad, Asian Pac Holdings Berhad, Formis Resources Berhad (formerly known as My-Infotech (M) Berhad), MajuPerak Holdings Berhad and SEG International Berhad. He sits as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Dialog Group Berhad and Salcon Berhad.

He was a member of the High Level Finance Committee of the Ministry of Finance and Capital Market Advisory Council of the Securities Commission (“CMAC”). He was a member of the 2nd National Economic Consultative Council (“NECC2”) and the Central Bank’s Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (“CDRC”).

He now sits on UMNO Malaysia’s Disciplinary Committee. He is also active in the Institute of Integrity Malaysia (“IIM”), Transparency International Malaysia (TI M), and an Adjunct Professor at Faculty of Law, UUM. He is currently sits as a member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Financial Directors’ Education Steering Committee and Advisory Board of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Mr. Ng Thien Phing is a leader in management, technology, training and advanced education for the knowledge economy. He is the founder of the NTP World Group (http://www.ntpworld.com/), a constellation of companies he launched in 1997 in Malaysia with offices in United States, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, UK, and France.

Under his leadership, he has successfully organized 16 conferences and 30 public seminars a month. Besides, he also assists in organizing and managing Malaysian government mega projects, such as The Graduate Training Initiative and The Unemployed Training Initiative for the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources. Mr. Ng has also successfully handled the Integration Program in National Service under the Malaysian Ministry of Defence. These programs have made the NTP World Group the largest training provider in Malaysia, and the leader in sales of training services in South East Asia.

Mr. Ng Thien Phing is also the Secretary–General of the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall (KLCAH) a non-profit organization, established as the umbrella body for Chinese based associations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Under this organization, Mr. Ng has been invited by Shenyang Province Authority, the largest city in northeast China to assist them in establishing and materializing an Islamic City in the region as China, one of the world’s fastest growing economies, has set its sights on Islamic Banking and Finance to complement Shenyang Finance Development Target 2010.

Sonia is our creative producer of international business conference, with the main focus on international critical business and policy issues. Her recent held positions were Director-Regional Business Programs in Asian Strategy Leadership institute and in Marcus Evans (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, she held various sales related positions and achieved very senior positions of Director TV/Congress/Sponsorship, South East Asia & Middle East.

An acknowledged expert in the field of corporate sponsorships across Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East, Sonia started out as a Barrister in England where she was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 1995 (Middle Temple). She was a practicing Civil & Criminal Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia from 1995-2001.

She joined Marcus Evans in 2001 where her talent and capacity in identifying client’s needs propelled her to the various international offices of Marcus Evans in Asia Pacific. Thereafter in 2007 she joined ASLI, a Non-profit Think Tank where she worked with various Ministries of the Government of Malaysia and in Asia including with the current Prime Minister of Malaysia.
